General Terms and Conditions
1. Registration for Public Group Courses
Public group courses are courses which are open to everyone, and in which participants pursue various personal language objectives. Registrations must be made in writing (by post, facsimile or email).
2. Registration for In-House Training
In-house training programs are booked by companies and other institutions for a clearly defined group of students, with homogenous language training objectives. Offers are confirmed by the client in writing prior to the commencement of the training program. Offers made in writing shall remain valid for three months. The issue date of the offer shall be definitive in this regard.
3. Cancellation of Participation in Public Group Courses
Cancellations must always be made in writing. No charges will result from cancellations made up to two weeks prior to the commencement of the course. For cancellations up to one week prior to the commencement of the course, 25 % of the course fee shall be charged. For cancellations that are made less than one week prior to the commencement of the course, 50 % of the seminar fee shall be charged. Once the course has commenced, agreed appointments for classes which are not cancelled at least 24 hours in advance shall be charged to the full amount. Participation in the course is at all times transferable to another person. If a student does not make full use of the service, there is no right to demand a refund for the unused portion of the course/class unit.
4. Cancellation of In-House Training
Class times confirmed in writing may be cancelled without charge up to three weeks prior to the commencement of training. For cancellations less than three weeks prior to the commencement of training, 50 % of the course fee will be charged. If there is a failure to appear, or for cancellations less than three working days prior to the commencement of training, the full amount of the course fee will be payable. Class times agreed upon for training units once training has commenced, and which are not cancelled at least 24 hours in advance, will be charged to the full amount. Cancellation fees for premises which have been booked, or other third party services, will be borne by the client regardless of the circumstances of the cancellation. There shall be no claim to refund for services not availed of.
5. Cancellation
The contractor reserves the right to cancel public group courses at least five working days prior to the start date of the relevant course if the number of students is insufficient (generally, less than four participants), and to offer replacement dates. If a seminar is cancelled due to sickness, force majeure or unforeseeable events, there shall be no right to demand that the course is held.
6. Terms of Payment
Invoices are payable immediately upon receipt, and without discount, once the course has commenced.
7. Copyright
Upon registration, participants in courses and/or training undertake to use documents related to the course and/or training for personal purposes only. Any use of documents for purposes beyond this, or reproduction of documents etc. for the purpose of provision to third parties, is only permitted with the express written consent of the contractor.
8. Concluding Provisions
Any divergent negotiated agreements, supplementary agreements or other amendments to these contractual conditions are required to be in written form. This also applies to the suspension of this written form clause itself. If one of the aforementioned provisions, or a provision which forms part of another agreement, is deemed to be invalid, this shall have no effect on the validity of any other provision or agreement.
9. Legal Venue
The legal venue for any dispute arising out of this agreement is Aschaffenburg.
